About this event

INNER LANDS & SCAPES is a tailor-made artistic & culinary experience including 6 artists in an intimate setting (30 people maximum per night), a sensory stroll through unseen spaces of our historic house. The full food & art experience includes an additionnal shared meal (and drinks) with the artists after the performance.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Expect to be swept away through the evening by the sounds and vibrations of Barbara Drazkov’s prepared pianos and sound pieces of Raphaël Vens, transcended by the monumental works of Valérie Novello, the words of Marie-Rose Meysman, and immersed in the shadows and gestures of choreographer and dancer Benoît Nieto Duran. All of this will be accompanied at different moments by culinary creations invented by the supremely sensitive Japanese chef, Chiho Kanzaki.

A never seen before poetic experience linking the visible and invisible parts of our bodies, including:

  • five culinary experiences throughout the performance all created by Michelin star chef Chiho Kanzaki.
  • a tailor-made dance performance by dancer and choreographer Benoît Nieto Duran.
  • a sonic experience by pianist and composer Barbara Drazkov on three different prepared pianos & harmoniums throughout the house.
  • a serie of monumental art works by artist Valérie Novello.
  • different sound pieces by sound creator Raphaël Vens.
  • the mesmerising voice and words of Marie-Rose Meysman.
  • and a shared meal (and drinks) with the artists after the performance by Chiho Kanzaki.

LES PASSAGÉES is a creative house that focuses on the link between art, food and the body.

Inner Lands & Scapes is the first public performance by the collective Les Passagées. Through this project, we are seeking to amplify the colours of our inner feelings. How? In an attempt to find the right access point for everyone, we have brought together several arts that act at different frequencies on our bodies (dance, music, sculpture, paintings, voice). This multi-disciplinary artistic programme will enable us to broaden the scope to as many participants as possible.

Artworks and artists were selected on the basis of their ability to complement each other, to offer great breaths of fresh air that open and shake things up. As sensations provoked by the works progressively unfold, we will offer culinary creations. The idea is to further stimulate and observe, layer upon layer, how food inhabits and transforms us.

At the end of each performance, the audiance and the artists will share a meal (and drinks) together in order to offer a slow transition between the sensations felt and the return to the reality of our day-to-day life...

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing so many worlds with you!
